Role: Medior System Engineer Linux
One of our international customers is urgently looking for Linux System Engineers. As a Medior System Engineer Linux, you've got at least 3 years of work experience in a relevant (Linux) environment. Your role as a Medior System Engineer Linux
You'll be part of our customer's technical support center. Working on solving 2nd and 3rd line issues, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our customer's end users.
As a Linux Medior System Engineer this is the type of role you enjoy, with your extensive knowledge of the system. Complex issues make you thrive and keeping up-to-date with all developments in IT and developing your own IT knowledge is something you like.
Some of your tasks & responsibilities:
- Re-installing Servers with different Linux distributions and Windows versions;
- Executing server upgrades;
- Data recovery where applicable;
- Setting up different RAID configurations on software rates;
- Getting to the bottom of things in case of server incidents and providing feedback to 1stline support.
What are we looking for?
- An IT degree (equivalent to Dutch MBO level/vocational training);
- Linux certified;
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a Linux environment;
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2012 would be beneficial;
- Driver's license preferred but not required;
- Good command of the English language (Dutch not necessary);
- Working 24×7 shifts might be an option.
