Description

Position: Payroll Manager II

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Duration: 5+ Months

Job Description:

  • Coordinates and assists with completion of payroll related activities on a daily basis for a complex US and Canada of approximately 25,000 employees both union and nonunion.
  • Stay abreast of all delivery related compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in the resolution of non-routine issues affecting the payroll function such as special problems/inquiries, handling unique business unit requests, etc.
  • Manages special projects for payroll including year-end, acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations. Manages tasks regarding such projects and ensures that other team members complete assigned work.
  • Manages Expat payroll processing including shadow payroll to ensure all team members are completing assigned work on time while working closely with Third Party Vendors.
  • Responsible for identifying any changes needed related to payroll delivery and complying with the Kraft Change Control Management process. Responsible for working with the Kraft Change & Communication Team to insure efforts are targeted and appropriate to achieving acceptance of payroll delivery items.
  • Partner with Finance and vendor for account mapping, payroll accruals, tax filings, reporting, liabilities, and key account reconciliation support.
  • Perform service call monitoring and facilitate call calibration activities in concert with our Third Party Vendor.
  • Handles various testing for payroll incidents or enhancements. The testing will include payroll earnings, taxes deductions calculations, benefit calculations and end-to-end detailed review of testing results.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Payroll experience
  • Experience in a complex payroll environment including unions and Canada
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting, tax calculations and tax filings
  • SAP Platform experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • Outsourced payroll delivery experience preferred
