part time Energy Efficiency Surveying Consultant - Edinburgh
Surveying/renewables/fuel/microrenewables/energy efficiency/retrofit energy
We have a fantastic part time opportunity (2 days/16 hours per week) for an energy efficiency surveying consultant to work on a major domestic energy programme in Scotland. This will be an initial 6 months' contract with a possible 6 months extension.
You will be required to provide accurate surveying advice to various stakeholders on heating, insulation and microrenewable measures to support the delivery of new home schemes. For this you will be required to have up to date knowledge of legislation and regulations around energy efficiency.
Essential skills
- Knowledge of domestic microrenewables
- Knowledge of heating (all fuel types) and insulation installations
- Previous experience of retrofit energy efficiency/renewable installs in a domestic setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of working in a contract delivery environment.
Desirable skills
- Knowledge of the rdSAP software, building energy performance assessment and related standards.
- Knowledge of heating, energy efficiency, & renewables industry standards & best practice
