I am looking to hire a Communications Engagement Marketing Specialist for one of my Public Sector Client. Please read the below job Specification.

Job Summary

  • Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively
  • Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management
  • Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organizations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects
  • Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.

Additional person specification requirements (role specific)

The Communications and Engagement Specialist working in the resources coordination and planning team will provide support to account manager and each of the specialist teams. These specialist roles require advance development of either communications and/or engagement as they are effectively the back up to communications and engagement managers. From time to time they will need to cover their roles with a degree of confidence and good understanding of the communications and engagement service. By being part of this team, they will be able to grow knowledge in each of the different skills areas in communications and engagement so that their development is supported and all rounded skills encouraged.

Activities will include:

  • Resources and planning team - support to account leads based in client offices - helping support development of contract information for new and existing customers
  • Media relations and public affairs - monitoring media coverage, helping produce media digest and tweets (with support), mapping out stakeholders, updating parliamentary briefs
  • Marketing - helping coordinate and plan campaigns, liaison with suppliers
  • Engagement - maintenance of databases, recording feedback, assistance with running of events, collation of reports, conducting surveys (with support)
  • Knowledge - Providing some communications and engagement expertise to programmes and clients.

Education/Qualifications

Relevant degree or equivalent training in communications and engagement.

Evidence of commitment to on-going personal development in the field of communications and engagement.

Experience

Experience of working in a communications and engagement team

Knowledge

Evidence of core communications and/or engagement skills such as:

  • planning and project coordination
  • Writing and proof reading
  • Handling enquiries - telephone, written
  • An understanding of the full range of communications and engagement services and how they work together.
