Description
My Client requires the support of an experienced, dedicated Cloud System/Network Administrator with experience of building HP networks, Microsoft Virtualisation, System Center and Windows Azure private cloud solutions.
- To be considered you must have experience on important projects that were required to meet tight deadlines.
- You will work closely with the Architect and Service Planning Manager
- You will review the design documentation of the proposed solution and build the required solution based on these requirements.
- You will work in close cooperation with the Architect and report directly to the Service Planning Manager.
- You must have proven, substantial, practical experience of systems implementation projects, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of HP Networking, Microsoft based technologies including System Center, Hyper-V, Software Defined Networking, Windows Azure Pack, Active Directory, SQL Server, Dell Servers, Equallogics and Force10 Switches.
This engagement is intended to be for a 6 month period with the option to extend the engagement beyond the initial 6 month period should this prove necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience is required in Network/System administration - Microsoft-based Systems. Minimum of 3 years prior help desk or desktop support experience is an advantage, ie minimum of 8 years' experience in total;
5 years' experience of LAN and WAN topologies and architecture, including Multi Vlan architecture. Must be able to construct, operate and maintain LAN and WAN Networks. Working experience of routing protocols required. Working experience of 10 Gigabit and Ethernet topology. Must be able to research and solve associated problems. A complete knowledge of network equipment such as Switches, Routers, hubs, and associated equipment and how to construct and maintain networks. A working knowledge of the software control systems for networks is desirable. Minimum of 2 years' experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting IT related/networking on HP network equipment;
A minimum of 5 years network management experience including being familiar with the TCP/IP protocol, DHCP, DNS, NVGRE, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, ICMP etc. Excellent understanding of the Internet protocol suite, eg NVGRE, ARP, IP, ICMP, BGP, OSPF, TCP, UDP, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, SIP, GRE, Netflow/cflowd and POP3;
Minimum of 3 years' experience managing Firewalls. Cisco ASA Firewall experience is an advantage;
Experience and expertise with ethical hacking, Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention technologies, secure coding practices and threat modelling is an advantage;
Working knowledge or Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2, Microsoft Virtualisation, System Center, Active Directory, DNS, Windows Clustering.
