Senior Quality Engineer - Safety Management and Military & Civil
A Senior Quality Engineer with Safety Management and Military & Civil requirement awareness experience is required to work on a five month with the possibility of extension for our Defence >client based in Preston
This is a 5 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business
Overview of the Senior Quality Engineer contract role
The subcontractor will be required to perform 2 specific strategic tasks over a 5-month period:
Develop and deploy the Error Management process in line with the MAI Error Management/Safety Management strategy
o Standardise Error Management and AM&S Safety Management document suite in line with agreed strategy.
o Define document position within MAI hierarchy by facilitating key stakeholder workshops.
o Deploy aligned document suite into agreed Lines of Business & Functions as per strategy.
Deploy Governance & Assurance Approach to the Error Management Process
o Define and agree process ownership, governance and assurance model (inc identified roles and responsibilities) with AM&S/key stakeholders for Error Management and Safety Management documents in line with agreed strategy.
o Identify process KPIs and KPCs. Feed data from process performance into Functional Quality Management Review; make recommendations based on information gathered.
o Define and deliver/co-ordinate appropriate oversight regime to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
o Deploy Central Quality aspects of the agreed governance and assurance model, including relevant process owner responsibilities.
Key skills required for the Senior Quality Engineer
- Human Factors trained and current.
- Experience of defining organisational safety management systems and the designed safety of our products.
- Process engineering life cycle experience.
- Regulatory (Military & Civil) requirement awareness
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
