Description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the management, ordering, loaning, quoting, and reporting of Demo Inventory to support the Sales Organization. The position requires a strong service mindset in order to support internal customers as well as strong inventory management and reporting skills. The position requires a business professional work ethic with a proactive problem solving attitude to ensure end-to-end support of all internal customers and sales organizations.

Key Areas Of Responsibility:

Functional Responsibilities:

Demo Sell Through

  • Monitor aging of demo equipment and implement rollover within established timelines for assigned zone/channel
  • Approval of availability of inventory to quote for sales
  • Manage reservation/allocation of equipment assigned to pending sales
  • May be responsible for coordinating equipment inspection and customer delivery

Loans

  • Working with Sales Organization to determine availability of equipment for both customer loans and loans for demonstration purposes only
  • Ensuring all loans have the proper paperwork and approvals from sales contracts, finance, and legal as applicable
  • Coordinating the return of loaned demo equipment and managing/escalating overdue loans
  • Sunshine Act reporting for any outstanding loans that qualify under the Sunshine Act rules and regulations

Entitlement

  • Ordering equipment for the field based on the predesignated budgets and inventory lists
  • Ensuring that the field does not exceed the budgeted amount
  • Ensure that all entitled equipment is deployed to newly hired field representatives and equipment is retrieved when field representatives leave their role
  • Responsible for timely deployment of new product and/or field software upgrades

Returns into Demo Inventory

  • Processing the demo orders to receive inventory into demo that was returned by the customer as approved by the demo manager and commercial operations/financial management

Inventory Management Responsibilities:

  • Meeting departmental goals for total and aged inventory levels as designated by management
  • Inventory Analysis required for reporting of inventory levels and other related metrics as assigned by management
  • Utilization Analysis required for making suggestions for purchase and removal of inventory within assigned inventory storage locations
  • Ensuring that inventory is moved properly from one location to the next
  • Working with the logistics group to manage movement of inventory
  • Reconciling inventory and performing yearly audits/cycle counts
  • May be responsible for ensuring appropriate equipment and support is available to 3rd party Logistics providers
  • Manage the return and/or service of broken/defective equipment
  • May assist with National Tradeshow equipment needs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicable Business Degree or equivalent combination of education and or relevant business experience.
  • One to four years of Customer Service/Call center related business administration experience.
  • One to four years of Inventory Control/Management related experience
  • Two years business systems experience (ex: SAP/ERP systems, MS Office, Siebel) & Quality Management systems (ICS Control, SOX etc.) preferred.
  • Strong MS Office reporting skills
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to clearly communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Possess strong presentation skills
  • LEAN Methodology experience is preferred with an emphasis on being a LEAN Practitioner
  • Ability to think critically, outside the box, for customer satisfaction and resolution &/or escalation of issues.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Able to manage multiple tasks and set priorities to ensure completion of daily responsibilities and assigned workload.
  • Positive, self-starting, flexible and forward-thinking individual with strong organizational skills who can work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Extremely responsive and adaptable to changing business requirements. Highly resilient.
  • Strong documentation skills, with a high attention to accuracy & detail.
  • Procedure creation and enhancement experience
  • May be required to work overtime, based on business &/or departmental needs.
