Identity and Access Management (IAM) Expert - Business Analyst/Project Leader

Assistance for an assessment of Identity and Access Management.

The Identity and Access Management team is part of the Service Desk (CS/IT/OCS/SDK) function at the client and currently numbers 3 security administrators and 1 team lead.

The team is responsible for provisioning and access management for approximately 4,000 users across the entire range of the client's infrastructure, shared resources and business applications, including but not limited to:

  • All operating environments (PROD, UAT, etc.)
  • AD/LDAP end user accounts;
  • Service accounts;
  • Security groups;
  • Workstation local administrator rights;
  • Privileged access rights on server infrastructure (Linux/Unix and Windows)
  • Database user accounts;
  • Exchange resources (shared mailboxes, distribution lists);
  • Network shares permissions;
  • Authentication devices (Smartcard, RSA token)
  • Business applications (50+);
  • Reporting and recertification (monthly business owner, quarterly IT accesses)

The client requires an assessment of the maturity of its identity and access management organisation and operations in comparison with current best practices and comparable organisations (ie other IFIs, banking sector, similar size and scope of identity and access management function).

The as-sessment should:

  • Provide gap analysis between current situation at client and best practice;
  • Provide gap analysis between current situation at client and comparable organisations;
  • In the context of the analysis consider all operational and organisational aspects of identity and access management:
    • Automation
    • Tooling
    • Scope
    • Procedures
    • Staffing

Deliverables and schedule:

  • Deliverables:
    • Assessment in accordance with above.
    • Recommendations and action plan based on assessment.
    • Schedule:
      • Follow up of the deliverables: at the end of each working week
      • To deliver assessment and recommendations/action plan: approximately three working days before the end of the assignment
