Contracts Engineer - Water Systems and Pumps

We have an immediate requirement for a Contracts Engineer working within our clients residential Water Systems and Pumps unit. This is a great opportunity to join an international market leader in this sector. If you are a qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience working with Water Authorities or Service Providers, this could be the exciting career move you have been waiting for.

Overall Job Purpose

  • Responsible for the instigation of new projects, dealing with all aspects of procurement & scheduling, liaising with clients, consultants, & co-ordinating of installation personnel & subcontractors.
  • To bring projects in on budget, on time, to specification and to clients' satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing technical staff/site engineers.
  • To insure that all contractual requirements and targets are met.
  • Continually monitor every aspect of the quality of the contract delivery.
  • Negotiating with sub contractors.
  • Accurate and clear communication with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all forecast & reports are kept up to date.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of the pumping/water industry
  • Experience of working with Water Authority working environment.
  • Experience of managing site engineers, liaising with technical staff and negotiating with sub contractors.
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering background and qualifications.
