SAP Data Migration Manager
KPMG are looking to recruit for a Data Migration Manager to manage the data team.
This role will require frequent travel to the Republic of Ireland.
Area of Responsibility
- Defines the data migration strategy, standards and tools to ensure the integrity of data in the future SAP system
- Defines and implements the strategy and solution to support the governance of data within the Celesio organisation
- Works closely with Legacy IT and business teams to ensure data is extracted and translated to be loaded into the target SAP system
- Lead data assessment and mapping activities, and architect the underlying migration framework to extract, transform, validate, enrich and load the Legacy source data
- Support planning and execution of testing strategy ie dress rehearsals, User Acceptance Test (UAT)
- Liaise with Project teams to plan and manage the efforts of technical developers
- Transition planning regarding technical and organisational aspects and coordination with stakeholders
- Identify potential performance and quality issues and their potential root causes
- Designs solutions and audits to mitigate against/monitor potential future issues
- Provide guidance and mentoring to the data team by being an advocate for best practices to elevate the effectiveness of the team
Knowledge/Experience
- 8 Years + of SAP Experience in Data Migration with integration experience to Legacy systems and retail
- Good Understanding of Retail and Wholesale business processes and having good communication skills
- Knowledge of the Retail/Pharmaceutical Sector
- Good cross-functional SAP knowledge
- Experience with ETL tools such as BODS is essential
- Experience of working with offshore teams
- Should have worked in at least three SAP Implementation Projects involving large master data objects and complete Finance transactional data migration
