Quality Engineer Lead
A Lead Quality Engineer with Lean/Six Sigma accreditation is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Glasgow.
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK Defence business.
Overview of the Quality Engineer Lead contract role
Responsible for the deployment, delivery and sustainment of quality standards across Supply Chain function and projects on behalf of Naval Ships organisation

Key Technical Skills
- Lean/Six Sigma accreditation
- Experience of implementing a Quality Model in a large multi-site, multi project, environment.
- Risk management skills and experience
- Developed general management skills
- PC literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, DCS, DRS, DMS
Key Leadership/People Mgmt. Skills
- Ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders
- Leading by example to promote professional and ethical standards
- Confidence and trust in working with and presenting sensitive data
Key Interpersonal/Behavioural Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and be able to schedule, co-ordinate and to maintain efficiency
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and deadlines respond positively to tight deadlines
- Good presentational skills at senior level
- Good communication and written skills
- Pro-active and self-motivated.
- Contract/Commercial excellence
- Ability to carry out detailed quality investigations, audits & detailed analysis
The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh
