Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician - WI

Location: Madison, WI 53718

Duration: 13 Months

Pay Rate: $27.00 Per Hour

Description:

  • Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GE Healthcare Manufacturing Processes. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: revising manufacturing assembly and quality documentation based on Engineering Change Orders and investigation/root cause of errors; assisting in implementation of Engineering Changes; and assisting in development/build/documentation of production test equipment.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Assist FTE Mfg Engineers with tasks associated with ECO's, Lean continuous improvements and resolving ergonomic issues
  • Interfaces with other departments in the execution of duties to ensure the orderly flow of material and information
  • Revise Operational Methods Sheets (OMS's) due to errors or ECO's (assembly instructions)
  • Perform basic troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Develop or revise QMS quality documents/procedures (protocols, reports, Production & Process Controls)
  • Be trained and perform final acceptance inspection
  • Provide evaluation, constructive feedback to leadership in the development of internal and external engineering, manufacturing documentation
  • Develop and execute training plans as required
  • Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals
  • Comply with EHS regulations and policies
  • General direction is given in the execution of job related activities

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Training: Aware of and comply with GEHC training requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to it's specification.
  • Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (or local equivalent 2 year degree), or a High School diploma (or local equivalent) and 3 or more years technical experience
  • Proficient in computer usage (Microsoft package)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid Works, Visio Professional
  • Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
  • Ability to perform under minimal supervision in a fast pace environment
