Description

*Finance Business Partner - up to £300/day - 4 month contract - Lancashire*

Security Clearance: Must already hold DS clearance or be willing to undergo.

We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our central government clients who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team. This is a dual role that combines Management accounting and financial accounting and it is critical in providing financial support services in the Commissioning Support Unit. The post holder will help ensure the CSU is a provider of market leading financial support services and supplier of choice for its customers. The role will be responsible for helping to develop an effective delivery strategy for the financial support services provided by the CSU, ensuring effective use of financial resources and people, consistently delivering successful outcomes and helping to manage financial risk.

Key tasks and deliverables:
*Support the operational delivery of financial support services to customers.
*Responsible for the day to day management of a Finance Analyst that deliver finance services to customers
*Manage the delegated budget.
*Ensure compliance with finance and procurement policies.
*Provide procurement advice, Manage finances, assets and payroll reconciliation.
*Identify and gain agreement for measures to deliver budget efficiencies through either cost-savings, re-allocation of financial resources or external sourcing of services.
*Ensure regular review of expenditure take place.
*Assist and support budget holders to scrutinise their own budgets.
*Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts, forecasts and budgets as required.
*Includes: closing down accounts, looking at variance analysis, monthly forecasts, what adjustments are required, treasury accounting, managing NHSE budget account, expenditure, bank/balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing budgets and sign offs

Essential skills and experience:
*NHS financial accounting experience is strongly desired (CSU or CCG environment ideal)
*Considerable knowledge of NHS systems and financial legislation
*CCAB Finalist or Qualified

Desirable skills and experience:
*Experience of NHS Shared Business Ledger System
