Project Manager - O365 (this is a 3months+ rolling contract likely to be 12months+ in total)- Central London

A strategic decision has been taken to move to Office 365. A Project Manager is required to validate Office 365 in a live Production environment and produce a Business Case to fully understand the implications, costs and timeline for adoption.

The client wish to undertake a detailed review of Microsoft's Office 365 solution to identify if it is suitable for the Business Units it supports.

The intention is to do this by: -

- Proving the solution in a Production environment to the first business unit to adopt 0365

- Producing a detailed Business case per business unit for Office365 adoption

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of the these deliverables.

Project Manager should have relevant Office 365 project experience. Experience in Financial Services or Insurance industry would be a bonus.

Required Qualifications:

- Over 5 years of Project Management experience preferably in Finance or Insurance.

- Relevant Office 365 project experience

- Demonstrated ability to produce an intelligent, articulate and convincing proposal in a presentation format.

- The ability to negotiate successful outcomes when universal agreement is not straightforward.

Desirable Qualifications:

- A consummate networker, equally comfortable with senior managers and operational teams

- Need to be strategic, self-motivated and able to initiate and gather information from multiple departments with little direction

- Ability to demonstrate expertise in project management and planning and process mapping; the ability to demonstrate group presentation, leadership, team building, written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

- Ability to analyse the functionality of systems and their fit with specifications, and to demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Initial Rollout Scope

Design document for a Production level Office 365 capability (inc. operational management/support)

Build a Production equivalent Initial Rollout for Office365 capability for all Business Units which would:

- Connect the WAN network to the Microsoft Datacentres over the Internet
- Link the Office365 solutions to existing in-house solutions (ensures all existing services continue as at present)
- Move a subset of up to 200 users to the Office 365 replacing their current facilities
- Move first business unit to Office 365 replacing their current facilitiesThe Office 365 solution provided would: -
- Exchange, Lync (Skype for Business) and SharePoint in the Cloud
- Deploy Office365 desktop applications to the user's current devices PC, Laptop and Virtual Desktop
- Use OneDrive for Business allowing the users to store their personal data in the Cloud (Subject to approval)
- Integrate with existing mobile email solutions (Good Technology, Blackberry)

Business Case

Develop a Business case covering; -

- The costs associated with the adoption of Office 365
- Existing costs/timeline for refresh of the existing infrastructure components
- Benefits of adopting the various applications and services of Office 365 (functionality and cost)
- Assessment of the suitability of the solution for the user base
- Proposed timeline for the adoption of Office365 and the associated cost/benefit profile
- Any technical pre-requisites that must be in place for full scale adoption

Day to day activities of the Project Manager include:

- Planning the milestones, activities, tasks & dependencies, effort, timeline and budget of the work streams
- Manage risks and their mitigation. Maintain a risk management log
- Manage work stream and program issues, their resolution and where necessary their escalation
- Perform relationship management on behalf of key stakeholders within and across work streams
- Plan and manage the tasks allocated to any third party service and software vendors.
- Execute all work stream and program tasks and ensure that all milestones and deliverables are completed to time and approved budget
- Report the progress of work streams to all program stake holders and at scheduled program, work stream and ad-hoc reviews and meetings
