Procurement Technical Support
My client, a leading engineering services company based in Donnington, Telford are urgently seeking an experienced Procurement Technical Specialist to join their team for a minimum of 6 months.
* Provide technical guidance for all Engineering Parts and Equipment.
* Deliver technical procurement compliance across I&RM spend within responsibility area.
* Deliver technical analysis of categories, and item categorisation.
* Determine manufacturing methods, be able to cost decision making and provide value for money analyses of items.
* Input and advise on any technical bid responses and processes.
* Ensure quality and compliance for new work.
* Be accountability for ensuring the delivery of compliant technical requirements for tendering processes that meet contracting strategies requirements determined by the category management teams.
* Manage compliance for all spend through to contract using the ock gate governance process, including Authority requirements for MOD Stores System, Workshop requirements, corporate requirements and Low Value purchases.
* Investigate, challenge, review and advise on electronic pricing reviews.
Experience required:
- HNC/D in an engineering discipline.
- Quality trained and qualified Internal or Lead Auditor.
- Membership of appropriate professional body eg IET or willingness to work towards registration.
