The Fund Accounting & Control team manages the buying and selling of units in the majority of our unit linked funds based on policyholder transactions on the administration systems. The team also manages the relationship with State Street, the outsourced provider of unit prices and accounting information for the unit linked funds.

As Unit Linked Financial Analyst you will support the Investment Accountant in the completion of a number of key reconciliations on the fund general ledger information provided by State Street. A key part of your role will involve monitoring daily unit price movements and dealing with customer compensation calculations resulting from pricing errors.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills/experience:

  • Broad knowledge of financial reporting including Unit Linked principles
  • Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting in a regulated, financial services environment
  • Experience of financial decision making and finance processes, controls > and systems
  • Significant experience in a corporate finance environment
  • Excellent Excel skills - must be able to use pivot tables and formulas
  • Nav Production experience
  • High numerical and quantitative skills
  • Good communication skills on the phone, via e-mail and in writing.
  • Commitment, planning, organisation and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors
  • Working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislatory frameworks
