83zero are working with one of the world leaders in their field, the development and manufacturing of high tech scientific equipment. We have an opportunity for a Electromechanical Assembly Technician/
Final Test Engineers to join an established team.
This would be on a long term contract basis 12 months plus, offering a rate of up to £13 p/h (Ltd Basis)
.: Principal Purpose
To assemble and test complex, high tech scientific equipment in accordance with established procedures and work to ensure that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met.
.: Principal Elements
- Hands on role, and demonstrate effective interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Communicate with other functions and departments within the organisation as required.
- Undertake assembly, sub-assembly and testing of finally configured systems and accessories consistent with the test area, to the final test procedure within flow line.
- Trouble- shoot malfunctions, carry out modifications and build prototypes as required.
- Undertake testing to the vacuum specification.
- Responsible for the maintenance of test equipment under his/her care.
- Participate in Lean activities as required.
- To help drive continuous improvement and identify waste in test processes
- Maintain processes and procedures consistent with ISO standards.
- Perform other duties that may be required from time to time.
- Compliance with Company procedures and controls (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001) as defined.
This is a long term contract opportunity offering a very competitive rate of up to £13 p/h.
