Description

I am currently exclusively representing a well-established and growing Security Systems organisation who are looking to expand their Engineering team. We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer, ideally with an emphasis on Security Systems. The role will be locally based, and servicing the extensive client base in South Wales and South West. The engineer will need to be multi-skilled, and have a proven track record of installation, maintenance and servicing, and will enjoy working with the latest industry technology.

Role Responsibilities

- Installing, servicing and commissioning various Fire and Intruder alarms, CCTV & Access Control systems
- Providing certification for installed and serviced systems to comply with Industry Standards
- Managing own diary to ensure allocated work is completed on time
- Responding to out of hours calls
- Identifying potential opportunities where customers could potentially benefit from using additional client services
- Handle customers in a professional manner during difficult high-pressure solutions
- Maintain high-levels of expertise & behaviours through continuous improvement

Candidate Profile

- Technical knowledge of open and closed protocol CCTV, Barriers, Access Control & Intruder Alarms
- Excellent knowledge of Alarm Signalling
- Excellent problem solving skills for security systems, including networked & IP systems
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Exceptional customer service skills, along with a highly professional work ethic
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments, products and requirements
- Product and parts knowledge of associated alarm products and other security equipment
- Service, repairs and fault resolution of alarm systems.
- Being able to interpret building plans and create systems as installed and zone plans
- Effective panning and management of work
