Firewall Engineers x 4
Contract until end of year based in Ballsbridge Park, Dublin 4, Ireland
Reporting to the Border Protection Lead, manage the migration of Firewalls, and related devices, to a new DataCentre.
The role will include detailed analysis of existing devices, using management tools, such that current policies and rules can be migrated to new devices with minimum impact to the Business
Responsibilities
- Firewall Engineer required to assist with the migration of services to a new DataCentre, including migration of FW devices to new hardware.
- Operational support of the environment during the migration phase.
- Provide technical support and knowledge to facilitate a smooth transition of services.
- Some weekend and out of hours' support will be required.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years' professional experience managing enterprise Firewall/Security environments
- Good understanding of IT Security practices, methodologies, tools mechanisms and trends.
- A proven track record of Firewall management is required.
- Experience in DNS/DDI using Bluecoat would be a bonus.
- The ability to communicate effectively within a small team is essential.
- Experience in some of the following - Administering, troubleshooting and configuring/implementing Firewalls, Cisco ASA and/or Palo Alto experience preferable.
