SC Cleared Contracts/Commercial Manager Duration: 9 Months

My client is currently seeking an SC Cleared Contracts/Commercial Manager to join their team in Gosport - on an initial 9 month contract basis. The successful candidate will have experience in the Public Sector. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years relevant experience working in a commercial/contract role with experience of negotiating the commercial aspects of various forms of sales agreements, a working knowledge of contract structures and associated key legal elements, the ability to understand the drives of value and apply them in price negotiations, sufficient finance understanding to assess deal profitability and a degree of all round commercial acumen, good organisation and product management skills.
Key Requirements:
- Experience with Public Sector Clients - Defence
- Strong negotiation skills - both with internal and external stakeholders
- Legal/Contract Skills - A level of legal knowledge is required in order to provide contract support to the business. The role frequently requires the review of client contracts and amendments against the clients standard terms and conditions. These reviews form the basis of recommendations to the Public Sector and/or UK&I leadership teams and internal Legal team members. The role will require direct negotiation with clients.
- Develop and implement procedures for contractual governance and contract management and administration in compliance with Clients policies. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company/Customer policies
