Sr Claims Accountant
Description:

Uses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issues including the maintenance of internal controls.

Participates in and implements monthly financial close, supervises the assignments of the staff accountants to include general ledger, accounts payable and fixed assets.

Prepares monthly management financial reporting package and executive summary schedules.

Coordinates and facilitates the process of documenting accounting policies and procedures.

In addition to standard accounting duties, we need an individual that can assist with a project to load Financial Reporting data into an Access database which will facilitate a more automated Financial and Payroll reporting process.
Daily responsibilities:

Preparation of Journal Entries
-
Preparation of Financial Results for Reporting and analysis
-
Preparation of Payroll files for Reporting and analysis
-
Preparation of various Reports
Requirements:
-
BA in Accounting or Finance plus minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience.

Must be comfortable in a fast paced environment

Ability to analyze data quickly and concisely.

A self driven work ethic

Ability to Multitask

Ability to quickly learn new tasks

Project Management experience would be great but not required

Presentation skills would be great but not required

Experience performing journal entries and accounting related tasks in fast paced environment

Experience working within Claims environment or Healthcare Industry

Strong Excel and Access skills
