Safety Technician - Munitions
A Safety Technician with munitions/explosives experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in South Wales.
This is a 12 month contract working with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Safety Technician contract role
You will be required to work within our clients munitions division, responsible for ensuring all safety requirements are met when carrying the work on the group. Ensuring that the work is carried out according to the business processes to the highest standards of health and safety and create plans and reports for the technical engineers.
Key skills required for the Safety Technician
- Minimum of HNC/HND in Science or Engineering.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Due to the nature of the team's work the candidate must be enthusiastic, possessing excellent communication skills and be able to work under their own initiative.
- Able to demonstrate that you are a team player, committed to continual improvement whilst also showing a willingness to learn quickly.
- Any successful candidate would also need to have strong motivational and interpersonal attributes.
The role is based in South Wales - commutable from Abergavenny, Ebbw Vale, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Pontypridd, Newport, Caldicot, Usk, Chepstow, Monmouth, Cwmbran, Blackwood, Pontypool and Abertillery with excellent access from Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham, Gloucester.
