Playout Director with Colossus/Omnibus (Broadcasting) - up to 6 month contract - West London
We are urgently seeking Playout Directors with experience in the Colossus (Omnibus) G2 automation system for up to 6 month contract working on behalf of a leading Media and Broadcasting managed services company.
As Playout Director you will be responsible for the accurate, effective and smooth management and running of broadcast channels in a Playout environment on behalf of clients.
Your role will involve working shifts - 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotational basis (this will include days, nights and weekends)
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling for Playout
- Thorough checking on all media material is correct and consistent
- Spot check media/material and monitor channels and streams
- Operate computerised single and multi-channel Playout equipment
- Be aware of and able to deploy Disaster Recover plans
- Ensure standby material is ready to hand if required
- Always be aware of current affairs and their impact against OFCOM
Knowledge and experience required:
- Experience in a technically driven environment where service provision is critical
- Knowledge of television transmission systems and equipment
- Hands on experience in the Colossus (Omnibus) G2 automation system
- Knowledge of OFCOM and other regulatory body guidelines
- Ability to remain calm in a pressurised situation
- Media technical background
