My Client urgently requires a Chartered Surveyor.

The Maximum Pay Rate: £270 LTD
Location: Scotland
Contract Length: ASAP - 21/11/16
Working for: Valuation Office Agency//Statutory Valuations Team (VOA SVT)
Clearance Level Required: BPSS (DS) - Baseline Personnel Security

Description

Advice on valuations and apportionments for inheritance tax, capital gains tax and other taxes. Advice on valuations support the delivery of Benefits. Providing technical advice and guidance to clients in related areas of work. Dealing with a large individual case load, including providing expert witness evidence at planning appeals and public inquiries, delivering quality work to deadlines. Involvement in marketing sector specific services, maintain and develop client relationships, including new clients, inputting to tenders for new work. Recording time spent on cases for charging purposes and delivering value for money. Project planning casework. Identifying and escalating new business opportunities in related work areas.

Key tasks and deliverables

The key responsibilities of the role are: Statutory Valuations Team provide independent and impartial advice to support national taxation and government departments.

General Practice valuation work, including:

Advice on valuations and apportionments for capital gains tax, inheritance tax, annual tax on enveloped dwellings and other taxes administered by HMRC.

Determinations of value for Right to Buy in England and Wales.

Valuations for Right to Buy in Scotland.

Advice on capital valuations required by the Department for Work and Pensions to support the delivery of DWP Benefits.

Decisions on appeals against the Community Infrastructure Levy.
