My client based in Berkshire is after a Senior Process Engineer. Contract will be 14 months. Rate £520 p/d
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise, implement and maintain production process flow
- Develop and manage working instructions, world class standards and process documents (SOPs) and ensure they are correct and understood by team members
- Continually improve the existing operation for increased quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings
- Working with manufacturing sciences to investigate operational problems affecting production and implementing solutions
- Provide manufacturing data using sources such as log books, production control charts and batch manufacturing records to resolve issues without affecting productivity. Provide data on production control charts, reliability, process capability to improve the process and monitor and measure utilising PPI tools such as six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques
- Work with the engineering team to manage equipment development, including effective planned preventative maintenance by the operatations teams
- Work with other relevant departments to determine product manufacturability; estimated production costs; run time and investigate cost reduction
- Establish a training and quality culture of continual improvement to support the day to day operations of the team leaders within the production area
- Resolve customer concerns and audit findings by effectively utilising the area CAPA system
- Provide cover for production team leaders when absent to ensure day to day metrics are met.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Experienced leader of people within a production/operations environment
