Description
Acorn is currently recruiting for x3 Process Operators to work at a Power Station in South Wales for approximately 5 weeks.
Following plant familiarisation and training you will be expected to carry out and demonstrate the required knowledge in relation to the following activities (within your designated area of work):
Plant Operational knowledge of your designated part of the process, without support or guidance from peer group or line supervisor.
Carry out routine duties and testing on designated areas of plant, with a high level of assistance or guidance.
Local isolation/de-isolation of designated plant for safety rule purposes, with a high level of support & guidance.
With a low level of assistance or guidance, carry out the actions necessary to resolve operational problems and routine inspections.
Station management systems, particularly health, safety, operations and environmental policy, including spillages management. Able to fulfil allocated responsibilities with a low level of support or guidance.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with other members of the operations and management team in order to ensure the facility achieves its operational and maintenance targets.
Demonstrate a good understanding of the hazards arising from work within designated areas, use of equipment and the appropriate measures to overcome the risks to people, plant and the environment (Chemical Hazards, Rotating Parts, Noise, and Environmental).
Demonstrate a reasonable knowledge of related IT systems.
Rate: £10 per hour
Working pattern: 4-on-4 off, days, including weekends
Duration: approximately 5 weeks
