MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Contract: 12 months+

Salary: £25-30,000 per annum dependant on experience

P2i Ltd are currently looking for a Management Accounts Assistant to work on a 12 month+ contract. You will be mainly responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

Main Responsibilities:
Supporting Management Accountant specifically in the following areas:

-Monthly Management Accounts production
-Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
-Bank recs
-Balance Sheet reconciliations
-Fixed Assets
-VAT returns and EC sales
-Intercompany transactions
-Timesheet Management
-Year end processes
Oversee expense process and offer support when needed
Support of PL Administrator
Additional Responsibilities
Projects or reports as agreed with the FM or GFC to support the business requirements of the organisation. In addition, you will be prepared to carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the FM or GFC.

Key Relationships and Interfaces
Finance team and other members of staff at all levels

Academic Qualifications
Strong Secondary school results
AAT

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working within a month end process, posting accruals, prepayments, journals etc.

  • Experience of producing accounts up to trial balance

  • Experience of working in purchase ledger processing invoices, supplier payments and staff expenses

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Ability to influence staff and ensure documentation is submitted complete

  • Ability to prioritise workload to accommodate month-end deadlines

  • Ability to respond to sudden requests for information

  • Strong system skills including Microsoft Office

    Desirable Skills & Experience
    AAT or similar qualification, part qualified in ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent) is desirable.
