Visa Europe has an exciting 6 month opportunity for a Commercial Business Partnerships Agreements (BPA) Lead to join our Finance division.
The purpose of this role is to:
- Determine the viability of proposed investment/pricing packages offered by Visa Europe to new and existing customers.
- Drive business cases to evaluate new proposals and recommend financial deal structures and solutions that can satisfy both customer needs and Visa Europe governance requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support Finance responsibilities for each deal from deal inception to contract signing.
- This includes:
- Managing particularly complex investment deals, anticipating conflicts that might arise, preparing alternative scenarios as appropriate.
- Conducting highly technical and complex data analysis, modelling and forecasting aimed at establishing the level of sign on and/or volume incentives Visa Europe is prepared to offer to new customers; or existing customers expanding their business with Visa Europe.
- Advising on financial deal structures which are compelling to customers whilst safeguarding Visa Europe's financial and legal position and enabling achievement of growth objectives
- Communication of financial risks to management decision makers
- Ensuring compliance with Visa's governance
- Ensuring approved financial terms are accurately reflected in final contracts
- Leads the development of deal-structuring best practice, tools and processes
- To support development of new deal structures and strategy
- To business partner with the Relationship Management & Sales and Marketing teams to ensure delivery of successful, competitive deals that have financial integrity
- Prepares and presents detailed reports summarising analysis findings to relevant stakeholders, including the CFO, CEO and other senior management.
- Works with the legal team in understanding key regulatory and contractual terms that must be adhered to in determining the acceptability of deals.
Essential Criteria:
- Ideally hold an accountancy Qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or MBA
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Ideally a minimum of 6 years' experience of working in a Finance department
- Substantial experience running complex data analysis and modelling
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills essential
- Demonstrated ability to explain and evaluate financial information to non-numerate individuals
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels,
- High level of computer literacy including detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel and databases
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of payment industry, cards/banking would be useful but not essential
