Playout Director/Transmission Controller - Contract - London
- Morpheus, Colossus, Omnibus or other playout automation systems experience
- Playout/transmission background
- Knowledge of OFCOM and other relevant regulatory body guidelines
A leading Broadcasting company is looking for a number of Playout Directors/Transmission Controllers to join their team for an initial 6 month basis to assist with a new contract that they have just won. This is an excellent opportunity to work on an exciting project.
You will be responsible for the accurate, effective and smooth management and running of broadcast channels in a Playout environment.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all schedules are ready for Playout and that they conform with OFCOM and client guidelines
- Ensuring that detailed checking is carried out such that all media/material is correct and consistent with paper and computerised information
- Spot checking media/material and monitoring channels and streams in order to ensure that the output is accurate and that planned schedules are delivered as intended
- Operating computerised single and multi-channel Playout equipment according to agreed procedures
- Being aware of and being able to deploy the Disaster Recovery plans where necessary and being prepared to make changes at the last minute
