Description
An methodical and proactive security cleared Financial Accountant with strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and proven statutory accounting experience is required for a 3 contract based in Berkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large organisation currently undergoing a major transition and to be an integral part of a dynamic finance team.
The Financial Accountant will be ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the financial processes and the internal and external reports produced.
Key responsibilities include:
- Annual Statutory Accounts under FRS102 and assisting with the annual audit
- Monthly management accounts
- Monthly balance sheet and key P&L reconciliations
- Compliance with Corporate Audits and Audit Committee mandates
- Acting as a key point of contact in the month end close cycle
- Providing support in areas of VAT, employment tax and Corporation Tax
- Improving cash-flow and working capital processes, including FX reserves and hedging
- Short and long term cash flow forecasting
The Financial Accountant will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and must have security clearance; you will have a 'hands on' approach to accounting to get involved in the detail. You will also have excellent communication skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
