Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for an Innovation Advisor on an initial 12 month contract. Working within a team of 15 spread across Scotland, this is very much a front facing role with the bulk of time being spent with and in support of companies. The role will involve working advising and working with companies on innovation generally including new product and process development, as well as new business models and the securing of innovation grants. This will include working with companies to identify in more detail what the constraints on innovation are that they are trying to address as well as providing appropriate advice and suggestions regarding how they might be tackled.
Essential skills:
. A proven ability to undertake and direct innovation activities in a company
. An ability to critically interpret financial and project forecasts
. Experience of the delivery business related grants to companies
. Good understanding of industrial and commercial R&D processes.
