Financial Planning & Performance Management guides the business commercially and drives performance by proactively engaging with Prudential UK & Europe business leaders.
The Commercial Actuarial Finance Partner will partner with the Executive Director and senior team for their aligned area and will provide decision support on matters relating to finance. The Finance Business Partner will be seen by the business as critical to decision making and driving forward the performance of the business.
Purpose of the role:
To provide decision support to the UK & Offshore business unit on matters relating to finance, including supporting the development and growth of the business product suite. You will also manage a team of Finance Business Consultants, who in turn manage Business Performance Specialists.
To be successful in this role some experience or understanding in the following:
- Qualified Actuary
- Experience of challenging the commercial implications of decisions
- Ability to guide others in complex financial accounting matters
- Excellent decisions making skills based on financial information provided
- Experience of recommending key financial/business targets and assumptions and setting processes and guidance for financial processes to ensure they are aligned to the business' needs
- Background of working in a consultative capacity with the ability challenge others
- Significant experience of working across the Finance function and leading initiatives that support the business and ensuring Finance is seen as an integral part of every team
- Ability to quickly establish credibility senior business stakeholders
Knowledge:
- Expert level knowledge of financial analysis and deploying it to advise and guide the business
- Detailed knowledge of Prudential and life & pensions products, markets and competitors
The role is Reading based and regular travel will be required to Paddington, London and Stirling, Scotland as and when required
