Description
For our client in the IT sector we are looking for an experienced AIX Engineer.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 months (possible extension to 6 months)

Some of the tasks of which the AIX Engineer is responsible
- Installation of AIX Servers
- Configuration of Virtual AIX Servers
- Participate in AIX migration projects from AIX server to AIX Cloud
- Configure VIOS
- Improve internal AIX Cloud environment
- Troubleshoot complex issues and drive to resolution (problem management), often together with suppliers.
- Provide L3 support concerning complex incidents and participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.

IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX 7
Expert Level Unix System Engineer
Preferred skills
- Strong grasp of automation tools
- Infrastructure experience (SANs, AIX Servers)
- Ability to code and script; KSH script (required), PERL, bash (pre)
- Experience in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
- Understanding concepts of SOD and NetApp
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, Firewalls
- Experience with migrations from server to cloud
- Project planning and coordination experience (a plus)
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Situation management and architectural skills - ability to act as main Tech Lead or architect (a plus)
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
- Experience with working in an Agile environment

- IBM AIX ), VIO and HMC (all a plus)
- Clusteringtools such as IBM HACMP, Power HA6 (must have), Power HA 7 (a plus), Bull ARF (a plus), MC Service Guard, Veritas
- Software install and automation tools such as NIM (must have) and BSA (a plus)
- Monitoring tools such as Nagios
