Investment Trust Administrator - Finance Accounting - Investment Bank

We are looking for an Investment Trust Administrator who will have experience in the Financial Services technical knowledge and experience. Must have good communication skills and act in a professional manner. Advanced skills of numeracy and attention to detail. You must be able to Demonstrate control over processes and ensures that all required controls/checks are appropriately carried out and evidenced. Evidences oversight of a relevant and robust control framework in line with risk reduction, to meet internal and external requirements. Understanding of client SLAs, ensuring we work to the SLA and any additional client requests are handled through the change control process. Completion of all mandatory E-learning and self development. Works with the team to deepen skills and share knowledge and experience, to increase the sense of personal accountability for development.

Role:

The Investment Trust Accounting Department exists to provide the timely and accurate production of all management and financial accounts information for the assigned Investment Trust Clients The Investment Trust administrator will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of information for the assigned Investment Trust Clients. Understand and ensure compliance with the Company's Control Framework (AAF) within the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of net asset values reported to AIC and Stock Exchange.
  • Processing of receipts and payments and maintenance of accounting records.
  • Preparation of information packs for trust depositaries.
  • Provide administrative assistance to accountants in preparation of monthly board papers (management accounts).
  • Provide administrative assistance to accountants in preparation of year end and half year financial accounts (including tax provisions).
  • Archiving of accounting records
  • Preparation of returns to HM Revenue & Customs and Office for National Statistics (eg quarterly VAT, National Statistics returns).
  • Awareness of various statutory and regulatory requirements affecting Investment Trusts (Companies Act, Accounting Standards, Statement of Recommended Practice).
  • Provision of ad hoc information to boards, fund managers and others as required.
  • Understanding and compliance with the Company's Internal Control Framework relating to the Department including documentation of control incidents and ensuring that preventative actions are carried out and communicated as appropriate.
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with client Service Level Agreements and internal delivery deadlines.
  • Assistance to departmental members in certain administration functions.
