We are working with one of the UK's largest specialist distributors operating in large and diverse markets. Our client has four separate divisions, connecting suppliers to customers in an efficient, knowledgeable and service oriented way.
We are looking for a Part Time Contracts Manager (Maternity Cover) to manage a portfolio of EU compliant agreements as directed by the Interim Head of Services.
Hours will be 22.5 per week.
OBJECTIVE
To manage a portfolio of EU compliant agreements as directed by the Interim Head of Services
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for ensuring awareness of EU procurement changes and updating the team accordinglyCarrying out ongoing contract management including supplier performance reviews - in liaison with technical support as appropriateSupporting customers with mini-competitionsWorking with suppliers to ensure product and price changes are managed in a controlled and timely fashionKeeping up to date with industry changes, supply chain pressures, general market intelligence, relevant standards, policies and government guidance and updating documentation as appropriateWorking with customers and suppliers to encourage use of the agreementsAttending exhibitions - meeting suppliers, customers, networkingWhere required, working with stakeholders to ensure tender specifications and award criteria accurately reflect user requirementsWhere required, compiling EU compliant tender documents, managing the tender process, evaluating potential suppliers, analysing tender results and making recommendations to the Interim Head of ServicesAssisting with contractual queries relating to the copiers systemAssisting the team with administrative tasks as requiredPERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential
- CIPS or working towards CIPS is essential
- Current driving licence & valid passport
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office

- Customer & supplier interfacing
- A role working within EU Procurement

- Experience of working within the fire sector
- Experience using at least one eTendering portal
