Description

Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Andover, MA

Duration: 05 months with possible extension

Key Responsibilities:

The PtP Accountant will:

  • Receives instructions on all work to be performed.
  • Performs a range of professional accounting activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial entry postings, reconciliations, processing, and reporting associated with accounts payable.
  • Learn to use professional concepts and resolve routine issues.
  • Work on problems of limited scope, following standard practices and procedures.
  • Execute daily activities in an effective and efficient manner as dictated by the pre-established company policy.
  • Escalate and route invoicing exceptions to the appropriate team (purchasing, receiving and finance) within the local organization for resolution.
  • Verify compliance of transactions to financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain performance dashboard, regular review with the internal customer and follow up on the actions.
  • Resolving queries and requests from vendors and internal business customers.
  • Assists with AP related accruals, IRS 1099 processing, and escheatment activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the Client business site and the Andover, Massachusetts based North American Accounting Operations process owner.

We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree (concentration in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and experience with computerized financial systems (preferred).
  • Possess analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, particularly at month-end and year-end.
  • Ability to follow general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  • General accounting knowledge with specific emphasis on transactional integrity and internal controls.
  • Experience in project and change management.
  • Knowledge MS Office Applications, knowledge of spreadsheet software with expertise in Excel and Pivot Tables.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate and to collaborate across functions.
  • Ability to work as a team player and be a change agent.
  • Must enjoy working in a fast paced environment with people from different cultures.
  • Willing to travel, as necessary.
