1 x Systems Technician position is available from February 2017 with an international IT company in Valencia, Spain.As part of a multi-location team, the Systems Technician will provide on-going maintenance and support for this client's Windows, Active Directory and Data Centre environments. Applicants must have a proven background supporting datacentre and systems infrastructures and be fluent in English.

Your Systems Tech duties will include:
- Maintenance and administration of the Servers, operating systems and directory services.
- Managing and maintaining standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools, plus problem resolution.
- Supporting the final testing and deployment of server hardware, operating systems and directory service solutions
- Provision of related technical documentation as a part of release management process
- 1st & 2nd line operational support and problem resolution related to Platform and Data Center related Services
- Possible out of hours duty roster and stand-by services, as required.
- Perform other duties, as required.
- 5 years of experience in managing, administering and maintaining large Data Center platforms and Systems Infrastructure
- Excellent technical knowledge of Windows AD Directory Infrastructure and various integration services such as FIM and Exchange at the level of T2/T3.
- Good knowledge of VMware and Linux Operating Systems (MS Windows , VMware, VSphere, SLES and RHEL).
- Knowledge in operating and maintaining Enterprise Data Centers.
- Knowledge of SCCM, SEP Antivirus, HP Management Suite.
- Basic technical knowledge of HP hardware (BL/DL/ML) and SAN EMC/HP technology.
- General understanding of Local and Wide Area Network concepts.
- Some knowledge of database and application systems including familiarity in Powershell and Shell Scripting.
- Experience in drafting technical documents.
- Exposure in Information Security Management System (ISMS: ISO 27001), ITIL framework and other industry standard related best practices.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team of diverse skills.
- Good English communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Spanish is a bonus!
- Ability to live and work in Valencia, Spain.
