Professional Credentials

The Construction Site Manager (CSM) is an experienced construction management professional who will be required to use sound judgement and pragmatism to ensure the successful execution and completion of a Waste to Energy facility.

The CSM must have experience in construction and engineering expertise are national and local requirements, scheduling logic analysis, cost and budget management, construction site safety, as well as software proficiency in Construction Project Management Information Systems.

General Scope of Responsibilities

The Construction Site Manager shall be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the project and for daily interface with the Owner in strict accordance with the Detailed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction and Commissioning requirements of the EPCM and Technology provider. The CSM will provide on-site technical, QA/QC, safety and business support.

Scheduling

The CSM shall work directly with the Program Scheduler and shall provide updates and input as prescribed by the Program Scheduler to support the project requirements as necessary. Additional scheduling responsibilities shall include verification in completion of construction activities, development of fragnets, and confirmation of viability of stakeholders scheduling components.

The CSM will be required to continuously analyse the construction schedule and make improvements and adjustments as necessary to ensure timey project completion.

Field Reporting Requirements

The CSM shall be directly responsible for authoring and documenting all construction activities and elements of work performed onsite in the official Daily Construction Report (DCR). The CSM shall also be responsible for validating all field reports supplied by the General Contractor, vendors and/or suppliers and incorporating those reports into the DCR for the construction activities.

Change Order Management

The CSM shall be responsible for identification, preliminary analysis, documentation and communication of all construction related changes as well as participation in all Change Review Board discussions. The CSM shall also be responsible for providing input on engineering and procurement changes which may impact construction requirements.

The CSM is not authorised to direct the GC to proceed with any change order work without written direction.
