Finance Analyst, Part-Qualified Accountant, North West, 12 Months, 14.37 An Hour Rate

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Private Sector Client for the position of Finance Analyst. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Part-Qualified Accountant who is keen to make a real difference to the business performance.

The Financial Analyst reports directly to the Finance Manager and will be part of a small team responsible for providing an effective financial business planning, financial and output reporting service to the management team, budget holders, staff and other teams.

Principal Accountabilities

- Support in preparation of the monthly management accounts

- Provide variance analysis from budget forecast, identifying any value adding opportunities for trend analysis and commentary to assist forecasting and budgetary requirements.

- Prepare and issue monthly financial data for use during the monthly accountability meetings held with budget holders

- Produce monthly year-end forecasts for approval by the Finance Manager, where required

- Support with audit preparation work to enable timely completion of financial statements and tax returns.

- Support in the preparation of the quarterly GRN and manual accruals at the Client Site.

- Provide a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions.

- Support in the preparation of Medium Term budget planning process.

- Undertake and manage ad-hoc projects when required

- Cover for the management accountant as required

Skills Qualifications

The successful candidate would be a part who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will require;

- A good understanding of the business planning process

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation, along with the confidence to propose new ideas and challenge others.

- Proven experience of delivering high quality information to tight deadlines

- Computer literate with advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.

- SAP knowledge would be advantageous
