Empiric Solutions are currently seeking a Occupational Hygienist/REACH Monitoring Programme Lead ready for an immediate start date to work for a large engineering company based in the midlands. Your role will be to meet the requirements of the reach regulation via authorization it has been identified that a further resources required to fulfil the requirement and conditions of reach authorization.
core duties
- Set up an exposure monitoring programme in over 10 operational locations across Europe.
- Set up environmental monitoring for extraction air emissions and water outlets in over 10 operational locations across Europe.
- Create a system for annual data collection and reporting for internal and external requirements.
- Use the data to identify clear continuous improvement in exposure control and identify risk areas that require further support.
- Carry out a gap analysis on current exposure controls across the business and using the exposure scenarios provided by the authorization consortium.
the ideal candidate will have
- Occupational Hygienist to BOHS certificate level or equivalent or,
- BOHS modular qualifications in appropriate subject areas such as, hazardous substances, exposure monitoring, and control
- Experience in exposure monitoring strategies and systems in an industrial environment
- knowledge of REACH
