Description
Our client a global telecoms provider are looking for a Central Accountant on a 12 month contract based in Reading.
You will be responsible for the EMEA Central accruals - including calculation, posting of journals and reconciliation. Carry out EMEA US GAAP adjustments for Excess Facilities, Dilapidations and Unfavourable leases - including ongoing maintenance/calculation, posting of journals and reconciliations. Oversee the SOX EMEA Central close process and act as evaluator for the SOX EMEA Local close process.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of US GAAP accounting, especially accounting for leases and provisions. Excellent working knowledge of SAP financial systems. Competent in the use of Microsoft software packages & proffecient with global accounting software ERP packages, preferably SAP, and analytical tools such as Hyperion Essbase.
Professional accounting qualification/newly qualified/finalist - ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
