VIRTUALISATION INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER/SC CLEARED/NATO SECRET/NETAPP/CLOUD/SYSADMIN

RATE: € P/D

LOCATION: MONS & HAGUE

CLEARANCE: SC/NATO SECRET

DURATION: 100 DAYS (Initially)

Skills, knowledge, experience required:

Qualifications and Experience - detail on the specific skills set needed

The individual must have:
- A graduate degree in Computer and Information Systems Technology or an equivalent level of qualification or professional accreditation by a related engineering Institute or professional body
- Fluent English in both spoken and written.

Essential Skills:

- Practical experience in the design, implementation, testing, maintenance and operation of datacenter storage management systems (such as NetApp, HP ) in a LAN/WAN environment and configuration management and maintenance procedures.
- Practical experience in the design, implementation, testing, maintenance and operation of SAN solutions.
- Practical experience in the administration and management of data stores on virtualization infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of network protocols and network management technology
- Knowledge of standard industry virtualization and cloud infrastructure concepts
- Knowledge of standard industry network Operating Systems (OS) concepts

Desirable Skills:

Professional/Experience:
- MS SQL Cluster technology administration
- Previous experience in a Military environment
- Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) concepts
- Knowledge/Experience in VMware Virtualization (esxi 5.0 minimum)
- Netapp OnTap 7.x, 8.x
- INFOSEC (COMPUSEC)

Duties/role:
- Responsible for the system administration of assigned systems.
- Support the migration, adaptation, operation, maintenance and tuning for all SAN inside the classified/unclassified NATO networks and new upcoming networks.
- Central Enterprise administration od datacenter storage systems.
- Central Enterprise administration of Fibre channel fabrics
- Maintain the SAN storage and implement changes as required to fix detected errors
- Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution.
- Performs analysis and implementation of user requirements.
- Implements disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Server and client platform problem resolution.
- Implements & tests new hardware/software releases.
- Contributes to the development of Standard Operating Procedures for routine system administration tasks.
- Uses system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics.
- Carries out agreed system software maintenance tasks.

Required level of Security Clearance: NATO Secret
