Commissioning ManagerProject information
Quanta are looking for a Commissioning Manager for a new build Biomass plant in Northern Ireland. The plant will use pyrolysis gasification technology to process 120ktpy of RDF, producing syngas to fuel a 23MWe/16MWth gas turbine CHP plant. Surplus electricity will be exported to the grid. The ideal person will have experience taking Energy from waste projects from Commissioning to Handover.
Job Role
- Participate in the preparation of manuals and test documentation for the plants including all SAT, FAT's and full commissioning PACs to handover
- Participate in the development of new test concepts and test procedures
- Contribute to quality control of new plants through dialogue and review
- Focus strongly on health and safety during the commissioning phase
- Structured team player with commissioning experience within the energy from waste or Biomass
Must have experience of commissioning the following gasification, gas turbines, boilers, steam handling, air cooled condensers, heat exchangers, gas filtration, gas treatment, feed water plant, C&I, grid connections, transformers, HV/LV switchgear & panels, utilities, connections to existing utilities, ash handling, bag filters, noise & emissions monitoring & control with testing within and Energy From Waste or Biomass plants.

- An outgoing person with good interpersonal skills and you are open to other cultures
- A team player who is also able to get to the point and keep a sense of perspective in a dynamic environment
- A good planner and you work in a structured manner - with expected as well as unexpected tasks
- Engineer or marine engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience with commissioning of large biomass plants
- Have a solid knowledge of English - written and spoken
- Good computer skills
- Experience with contractual conditions
