My client is a luxury automotive manufacturer and this is a great opportunity to work in their state of the art Research and Development facility based at Warwick University.

I am looking for a specialist engineer to join an existing team working together to investigate safety issues of Level 4 autonomous on and off road vehicles.

Working with mainstream engineering, Universities, external third party agents and suppliers, and with your own ideas, you will generate reports and presentations to gain approval for safety case arguments.

The work will involve developing requirements and test plans for prototype and eventually production systems in this rapidly evolving area.

Human factors will also be considered, and working with a parallel team of human factors experts, issues of trust in automation will be considered.

To be successful in this role you must have the below skills:

Experience of functional safety procedures, ISO26262 or other similar methods for safety assurance.

  • Good command of communication methods, including written work in English and presentation of intricate logical arguments
  • Experience of engineering methods and functional decomposition/validation methods.
