Description
I have a great opportunity working for a leading blue chip organisation based in East midlands. They are looking for a strong infrastructure architect to Lead development of systems architectures, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers. Takes full responsibility for ensuring that systems architectures balance functional, service quality and systems management requirements. Ensure that appropriate standards (corporate, industry, national and international) are adhered to. Within a business change programme, manage the programme's target design, policies and standards, working proactively to achieve stable, viable designs, and ensuring consistency of design across projects within the programme.
Key activities:
- Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration, including the operational and maintenance aspects of systems under development, and proposed system recovery procedures.
- Ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
- Develops product short-lists and evaluation criteria and uses them in product selection.
- Translates component specifications into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
- Develop secure system design and architecture
- Provide governance and assurance of designs produced by third parties
- Work with the Security Architect team to ensure all technologies align with Roadmaps and outcomes
Key skills:
- security clearance or ability to get security clearance is essential
- Subject Matter Expertise in Client Workplace products and designing and delivery of solutions.
- Broad knowledge across a range of Infrastructure technologies
- Detailed subject matter knowledge in:
- Microsoft Windows 7
- Microsoft SCCM
- Proven experience in design, implementation and operation of large-scale architecture solutions in a large and complex multi-supplier/multi-platform environment
