Description
I have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Storage virtualization Cloud architect. You will be involved in a number of infrastructure related projects across the organization getting involved in the following.
- Develop secure system design and architectures supporting Secret, Official and Official Sensitive classified data
- Provide governance and assurance of designs produced by third parties whilst ensuring that all components can be integrated into the Enterprise Architecture
- Monitors technical progress, ensuring that co-ordination and change control are applied to architecture and design. Advises on the impact of changes to the programme and on the process for assessing such impact. Informs project management of major design issues and makes recommendations on their resolution. Ensures that all design changes are managed effectively, and contributes to formal reviews and evaluations when projects and programmes end.
- Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration, including the operational and maintenance aspects of systems under development, and proposed system recovery procedures. Ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.

- (Hosting/Servers and Storage) products and designing and delivery of solutions.
- Broad knowledge across a range of Infrastructure technologies (network, Servers, Compute (Hosting/Servers and Storage), storage, cloud, mobility, databases.
- EMC storage (vmax, isilon, unity)
- VMware (vSphere 6)
- Cloud automation (BMC cloud life cycle manager)
- Detailed subject matter knowledge in:
- VMWare
- Storage solutions (EMC working knowledge advantageous)
- Virtualisation
- Proven experience in design, implementation and operation of large-scale architecture solutions in a large and complex multi-supplier/multi-platform environment
