Description

We are looking for a Microsoft Office365 specialist for multinational Institution in Rom/Italy

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Organization in migrating all Exchange content and functions to Microsoft Office365;

  • Execute Public Folder clean up to within Microsoft Office365 limits to ensure successful migration of content (including analysis, statistics and categorization of content);

  • Migrate all Public Folder contents to Microsoft Office365 (including coordination with all decentralized offices);

  • Define and document the minimum infrastructure needed on-site for managing and monitoring email hosted at Microsoft Office365 in a non-hybrid configuration and with a Skype for Business infrastructure;

  • Review monitoring of Exchange infrastructure (SCOM) and define updated monitoring parameters;

  • Perform traffic analysis between FAO and Microsoft Office365 and document recommendations for performance improvements;

  • Analysis of IronPort devices for porting to O365 and for decommissioning the Email Security Appliances (2 single nodes and 2 configured as a cluster) and the management server for the cluster, including an assessment of all the rules (active inbox content filters, custom message filters, outgoing content filters, custom mail flow policies, custom sender group, customized domains, antispam policies and customized rate limits);

  • Port all IronPort rules to Microsoft Office365 and decommission the IronPort devices;

  • Define the Exchange decommissioning procedure (includes the Exchange CCR cluster (Exch2007), Exchange DAG (Exch. 2013), Exchange Public Folders (Exch. 2007) and individual Servers (Exch. ). This must include the action plan sequence, test plan and guidelines for:

  • the Exchange 2013 Server infrastructure decommissioning procedure in the FAO Regional and Sub-regional offices (including the VMware virtual email server instances), in line with FAO security policies and procedures;

  • the FAO HQ Exchange 2007 Server infrastructure decommissioning procedure (includes all physical and virtual (VMWare) HUB & CAS Servers, mailbox clusters (30 databases), and Public Folders);

  • the FAO HQ Exchange 2013 Server infrastructure decommissioning procedure (includes all defined Exchange roles and the DAG group)

  • Resolve any issues with the Public Folder migration reported by the Global Service Desk and act as 3rd level support, troubleshooting all problems experienced by users of the Email system.

Qualification and experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing the latest and/or previous version of Microsoft Exchange in large-scale implementations, including design and implementation of major version migrations, architecture design, benchmarking, capacity planning and server sizing;

  • Strong Active Directory knowledge including GPO management and Disaster Recovery;

  • Solid working experience and knowledge of Windows operating systems;

  • Experience in virtualization technologies: VMware or Hyper-V as administrator (creation of virtual instances, management of virtualization console);

  • Experience with server Backup tools like NetBackup, Backupexec, Arcserve or others;

  • Experience with server related protocols and infrastructure including DNS, Wins, LDAP, SMTP, TLS and S-MIME;

  • Certifications from a recognized organization (MCSA, MCSE) in Microsoft Exchange (latest version and/or previous version);

  • Excellent English (written and spoken) language skills with the ability to express complex technical matters: level C

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of MTAs such as Postfix and Sendmail on Unix/Linux environment;

  • Knowledge of IronPort usage in an Exchange infrastructure;

  • Experience designing Microsoft Skype for Business installations;

  • Experience with SCOM;

  • Experience with Scripting on Microsoft and/or Unix platforms.
