Fixed Term Contract - 24 MonthsWe have an opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our fast paced and rapidly growing IT team in Peterborough. This is a great time to join Mencap as we are in the midst of change and this role will present a challenge that you may desire.
Summary of role:
Triage third line BAU tickets
Take ownership of tickets escalated from the 2nd line service desk
Undertake supervised project work
Mentor and assist 2nd line engineers
Assume documentation creation for handoff down the escalation path
Create Change Requests for standard changes
Carry out third line maintenance tasks and administration
Shadow Senior third lines on projects and BAU
Experience:
Experience of working with outsourced service providers
Microsoft 365
Backup and business continuity
Extensive network support experience
Configuration, installation and administration of Windows networks
Strong customer focus with the ability to operate with clarity, confidence and creditability
Working under pressure and to tight timescales as well as own initiative
Documenting processes and procedures
Troubleshooting complex issues and ability to identify root cause
logical and detailed analytical skills
Prince 2 & Project Management methodologies (Desirable)
