VMware consultant/Puppet/Ireland/Banking/long term contract/£550/day
VMware consultant/Puppet is needed for my client, a leading systems integration specialist who have won a major project with a Tier 1 bank for a project in Dublin (Ireland). They are looking for a VMware consultant with puppet experience for a long term project. As a VMware consultant, you will be working on the designing, installing and configuring configure Puppet as part of a Software Designed Data Centre (SDDC).
As a VMware consultant, you will be on a 3 months rolling contract for a long term project, as you will be working through a specialist consultancy in your sector this will create the opportunity for you to work on other VMware Puppet projects across the country. The consultancy is renowned for their work in the banking sector. They are looking to pay in an around the £550/day mark for this project.
Required skills:
Understand the role Puppet plays within a SDDC supporting an integrated VMware/OpenStack/Puppet stack
Gather requirements, constraints, assumption and consider risks to provide a Puppet design consistent with the desired target environment
Specify design of Puppet and configuration to integrate with OpenStack/VIO/VMware
Configuration of puppet in a modular fashion with a single task per module
Configuration of agreed classes for tasks such as installation, configuration and addition of parameters
Provide the following set of modules as a bare minimum:
o Linux install - for small, medium and large resource types
o Windows install - for small, medium and large resource types
o JBoss install
o SQL install
o Java install
o Addition of storage
o Addition of CPU
o Addition of RAM
