MES Engineer Simatic IT, PSI, Wonderware Belgium

Manufacturing execution system (MES) is a control system for managing and monitoring work-in-process on a factory floor.

MES project to define the core model, managing its deployment and its maintenance and support.

Your Profile

Minimum of 5 years of prior implementation and support experience with MES applications required (Simatic IT, PSI, Wonderware)

Relevant experience in projects management, implementation, development and configuration of systems

Quickly learn new skills and technologies

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees at different levels of the organization

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Must have the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as both a leader and an individual contributor

Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies:

IT languages

DotNet C# - Java SQL Server/TSQL Web Services/Web Server IIS OPC, UML, SCADA/HMI IT specific

Client Server architecture ( IT ) ERP interfacing Basic understanding of networks, Switches, Routers, gateways, bandwidth and security implications MES specific ISA 95 B2MML (NTH)

Ability to travel during the time of the project (ie travel in Europe and America)

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Be strongly involved in the MES project driven by the integrator of the solution
  • You will be part of the design of the solution from the beginning
  • Managing the deployment of the core model in every plants of the Service and Solution entities in the world with the Business owner of the solution
  • Be responsible for configuration and support of the production systems according to business specifications
  • Collaborate with process engineers, product engineers, quality and production managers to optimize production processes.
  • Continually improve system stability and performance
  • Monitor the system within internal SLA
